Formerly operated by Dan Friedkin and Danny Sullivan, TForce Motorsports
is a Trophy Truck team operating with support from Toyota.
The original vision of the team was to set new standards for presentation and sophistication in off-road racing. Manifest were
approached in the early developmental phase of the operation to create a brand position, identity and iconography that would
extend across all team assets including collateral, apparel, website, race and support vehicles and ancillary assets.
The logo was the initial creative element that showcased a sophisticated aesthetic while remaining respectful to off-road culture. The subtle use of honeycomb would become a symbolic representation of the team’s position and an internal reminder of what the team stands for.
Like the Great Pyramids, modern man, with all his technology can replicate the honeycomb structure yet cannot match the sheer perfection of those originally produced by the hornet.
Composed of hexagonal cells, they are models of geometric efficiency. On its own, each cell, while perfect in its geometry, only comes into its own when it is layered with other like cells, each linked by perfect trihedral shapes to form one nearly indestructible unit.
And, thus the honeycomb and the Dolichovespula Maculata, or Hornet as we more commonly know them, work as iconic elements for T Force.
The honeycomb represents precision and engineering prowess. It is incredibly strong, yet remarkably efficient and adaptable. It is the result of highly coordinated teamwork. The hornet is the largest and most powerful of the wasp and bee family. It is fiercely loyal and protective. It can sting and bite at the same time and can inflict multiple stinging attacks on its prey.
So the hornet in concert with the honeycomb become emblematic of an organization that prizes group achievement over individual, despite having an unquestioned leader and that values strength of character, will and efficiency without exception.
The centerpiece of the TForce Motorsports race team was the custom built Trophy Truck. The truck clearly separated itself from the competition with it’s abstract use of the TForce ‘T’, while maintaining a design that was clean and relevant. The final application was a silver paint base with a graphic wrap over the top.
The chase trucks all featured a similar livery to continue the theme, however we used a black base for differentiation.
The website included an in-depth Trophy Truck ‘In Focus’ section along with ‘Race Spotlight’ which presented all race event information on a slide out
screen in real time. Race Spotlight allowed viewers to see all active race information front and center without digging through the site.
Manifest worked with the driver apparel supplier to achieve the correct base color and placement of all partner logos. For all casual wear, Manifest was not only responsible for design but also organized production and delivered a finished product.
Driver and team collateral along with business development materials were designed and produced.
